Autograph letter signed C.L. Dodgson : Eastbourne, to Harry Furniss, 1889 Sept. 21.

Telling him that he thinks the picture of "Sylvie and dead hare" will be the chef d'oeuvre of his illustrations for the book; mentioning that he likes Bruno's face but wants him to be less "podgy" and more of a "little acrobat"; pointing out that he has drawn blue-bells rather than hare-bells; arguing that Bruno needs to be wearing more clothing. Dodgson ends by saying that he is "hoping very much that [Furniss] won't be annoyed with this letter."
